Fact 6: Poffertjes
Poffertjes are a small type of pancakes that are baked on a special pancake plate or a poffertjes pan. Poffertjes are flipped over in between so that both sides are baked and the inside stays soft. It is a dish that actually comes from France, but is seen as typically Dutch. Poffertjes are served hot as portions with butter and sugar. Sometimes syrup is used.
